Keys With A View

After touring the World War II "Showboat", we had lunch in Wilmington.  I was curious about the keys on the fence and had to look it up.  Here's an article I found.

Saturday I got to see all three lighthouses that I had intended to see on the trip.  We took the ferry to Southport to get close to Price's Creek lighthouse.  I also got to see distant views of Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Oak Island Lighthouse.  (More about them in the next posts!)

We also learned about the Stamp Act Resistance at Brunswick Town through a reenactment.  In 1765, the citizens of Brunswick surrounded the governor's home in protest to the Stamp Act of 1765, one of the first incidents of armed colonial resistance to British rule.  Who knew?
