More of South Mountain

I've had some time this weekend to explore more of the city park that borders where I live.

There is a layer of green, that looks almost like grass. It's been surprising to see here in the desert, but we have been getting a fair amount of rain lately. One of the things South Mountain is known for is the radio towers. All along the mountain you get some great views of the city.

They give tours at the "Mystery Castle", that nestles up into South Mountain. It has 18 rooms, 12 fireplaces, and a lot of originality and reuse/recycling!
