November Pursuits

I know I haven't blogged in a while. A lot of misc. stuff going on. I took a little break on the home repair and unpacking after the den. I've been doing some furniture shopping. I want to redo the living room in purple, cream, and blue. The Roomstore has purple leather couches. While I love purple, and I could get a couch to match my door, I don't think it's what I want for the long term. I had been planning to make some curtains, but I haven't been able to find a good patterned fabric with purple and blue, so I may just be purchasing solid-colored curtains.

I've been able to attend several church activities. The temple is always good. It was fun to create a sprout-orange-nutmeg salad at our emergency preparedness activity. I got to see a Washington Wizards game. I have a visiting teaching assignment. I feel like I am actually getting to know some more people in my ward.

Saturday was a yard day. I did an initial raking of the leaves, but of course the yard was covered again within 48 hrs. I got in the last mowing of the year. I struggled with the weed wacker for a good half hour. I finally got the new guard on, but gave up after sustaining injury from the constantly feeding cord. Ouch! I went for a motorcycle ride instead. Perfect for a fall day.
