Belles on the Potomac

One of the yearly traditions in my ward is Christmas crafts. For the longest time the Mount Vernon ward had what was called "Christmas in Williamsburg", which included a very fancy lunch with traditional food from Colonial times. For the last several years we have modified the tradition some, but kept the same theme of Christmas crafts. Since we are now the Belle Haven ward, it's been renamed to "Belles" on the Potomac. We are now doing a breakfast rather than a lunch. One of the crafts that has often been done is the cranberry kissing ball. I remember making one several years ago when I first attended the ward. Very fun. We have some great ladies in the ward who put a lot of time and effort into all the preparations and the crafts.
