The Errand of Angels

In March we celebrate the creation of Relief Society. I was able to attend RS Birthday celebrations for two wards. I was so blessed by all the preparation that was put into these events. That alone made me so grateful to be a woman in this church. This year we are focusing on the history of Relief Society. Stories were shared of women in the early church, but also the recent past. One sister mentioned so many topics that brought a lot of memories of my friends and sisters and our time together in Relief Society. It's true that I've been involed in putting together cookbooks, participated in temple trips, music, and many visits. I've also had opportunities to strengthen my testimony of family and revelation. I've been truly comforted. Here's a few of MANY friends and angels in my life. Thank you so much for your service to me and so MANY others.

As Sisters in Zion we’ll all work together; The blessings of God on our labors we’ll seek. We’ll build up his kingdom with earnest endeavor; We’ll comfort the weary and strengthen the weak. The errand of angels is given to women; And this is a gift that, as sisters, we claim; To do whatsoever is gentle and human, To cheer and to bless in humanity’s name. How vast is our purpose, how broad is our mission, If we but fulfill it in spirit and deed. Oh, naught but the spirit’s divinest tuition Can give us the wisdom to truly succeed.
