2nd funeral this week

Friday I was able to attend the funeral for Sister Opal Marsten... who was just baptized 2 weeks ago. I had to agree with the comments about how she was probably pretty perfect, and quite prepared to go.

Sister Mary Jo Tandy served as Relief Society President for several years in the Belle Haven ward. Her husband Roy actually passed away about 3 months ago, but it took a while to schedule his burial at Arlington cemetery. He served in World War II, and was even stationed at Antarctica during his time in the Navy. They are Scottish, so it was great to see so many men show up in their kilts. I hadn't been to a funeral at Arlington Cemetery before, so that was a neat experience.

As building scheduler I also reserved the building for a Memorial service for a young child. It's hard to lose loved ones. I am so grateful to know that through Jesus Christ we can all be resurrected and live again.
