Even though I enjoyed the work conference, I of course was excited to stay a few days and explore. My friend Matthew came out from Arizona to join me, so you will see him in a lot of the pictures. Thursday night we saw a few things around Seattle, and then we spent the rest of the weekend exploring the Olympic Peninsula.
I'm not sure that I've ever been inside the Seattle temple, even though I've seen the outside several times. Seems like it's closed, I forget my recommend, or simply don't have the time. Maybe one day. Alki point has a great view of Seattle, as well as a replica Statue of Liberty.
A lot of the Matthews I know are having birthdays this time of year - My cousin's son (the one in the Seattle area) turns 4 on Aug 27, the same day as my brother Matthew. We also celebrated Matthew's birthday a few times over the weekend.
