Beach Trip

It's always fun to go to the beach, and Saturday was no exception. It's about 3 hrs (or more, depending on traffic) to the Delaware Beaches. I have been going to Indian Beach, Delaware with some of my friends for a number of years. It's a State Beach just south of Rehoboth and Dewey Beach. There is an entrance fee to the park, but there are also showers and a less crowded feel.


This picture is of Nicole, Debbie, and Myself. Since Nicole is getting married soon, Debbie wanted to be sure to get a picture of us all together. I am sure that we will all make it to the beach again together sometime, but it did bring back memories of many trips to the beach.

Let me share a classic story that I often remember from the ride home from one of the beach trips to Indian Beach. Traffic was slow, and some guys driving in the lane next to us tried to get our attention. One of the guys asked for a piece of gum, so we found one and passed it out the window to the other car. After not getting much further in traffic, the guys in the car decided to get out. They came up to our car to see if anyone wanted a kiss. It was hilarious as the driver was reluctant, and the people in the back frantically tried to lower their windows, trying to take the men up on their offer. Unfortunately the windows in the back seat only go down so far, and the opportunity was lost for the most eager participants. To add to the humor of the situation, the car of friends driving behind us witnessed much of the interaction, and couldn't believe that we gave our phone numbers to these perfect strangers! (We didn't, what we handed over was just a stick of gum.) Funny.
