Miscellaneous - Outside the House

I often see birds and squirrels in my neighborhood, but the other day I saw a chipmunk as well!

Last year I don't remember the Iris's blooming at all. This year I have had a steady stream. The hydrangeas I planted out back have also done quite nicely this year, particularly for a new bush! Maybe all this water we have been getting has something to do with it.

There have been four townhouses on our row of 12 that have been up for sale for some time. The house next door was vacated around Christmas time, and the For Sale sign has indicated that it is under foreclosure. It seems like nothing has been selling in the neighborhood. Last week when I came home from the beach the house next door had a sign that it was going up for auction. It now has more details posted. I don't think this will help my home value any, but if there is anyone in the area interested in buying, it might be nice to have some friends as neighbors! The auction will be July 17 at 4pm, and the starting bid is $50,000. 5% down is needed at the auction, and the balance is due in full within 30 days.

Last fall I was pretty intent on moving. I am feeling better about staying here, and that is the plan until I find something else!

You are making me miss Alexandria. Spring/Summer was always the most beautiful time of year!
