Fresh Paint - Inside the House

I can't believe I bought my townhouse nearly 5 years ago! I closed on the day before I moved in with two roommates, so I didn't have much time to spruce things up before we filled it with furniture. The previous owners were smokers, so I did make it a priority to do a quick wash down of the walls with some special cleaner before moving in. There have been some marks on the living room walls that have bothered me ever since I moved in that I finally took care of this weekend. Yeah!

A big thank you to the Heath's and their consulting on the project, Belinda and Jason Doyle for their help in moving the furniture and other prep, David Rogers and Marissa Crandall for their help in painting (and being patient with me as I struggled to think!), Lisa Rogers and Sam Clark for their help moving the furniture back, and Angelee in her overall support.

I had Friday off work, and I needed to stay busy this weekend, but I quickly became emotionally overwhelmed. I am so glad that I was able to get some help! We painted the living room, the hallways and stairwells up and down, and the upstairs ceiling. It all worked out fabulously. Even though the paint is a similar color, I feel so much better with a fresh paint job!

New paint can make all the difference in a house. I hate having to rent...I can't just slap up a new paint color when I want!
