Downstairs Refresh

Since I've moved in (in 2003), my den has generally looked like this: Striped wall paper and green carpet with plenty of stains.



















My downstairs roommate Tammy was gone for a few days, so we were able to schedule the new carpet downstairs. I was able to take care of the furniture moving, painting, and carpet removal while she was gone. (Thanks Wanda and Karl!) I was surprised to find not concrete under the carpet, but tile. Hey, that works!









































I still need to put the curtains back up and do a little more decorating, but at least my den looks a little more neutral. Don't be surprised if the lighthouse stuff somehow finds it's way back into the decor!
