Thrift Store Prom

So, this is the announcement for a recent Mid-singles activity:

It's the Thrift store Prom!
Get dressed to impress in your best sparkly (or spooky) spectacular thrift store finds.

Prizes will be given for:

Best 70's, 80's, 90's ensemble

Best vintage hairdo

Come and get your picture taken (glamour shot style!) and then dance the night away to the best hits of decades past.

There will be food (caramel apples!), drink, dancing, games and plenty of opportunity for fun. Who knows...you may even be crowned thrift store prom king or queen!

Friday Oct. 22, 9pm, King Street Chapel 2810 King Street Alexandria VA 22302

I decided that I wanted to go, and we got a group together. It was so much fun! We met up at the Air Force Memorial for paper airplane races. My date got the longest individual flight, although the "green team" won overall. Dinner was great, and it was interesting to see everyone else's attire at the dance. Looking forward to getting our "Glamour Shots" back! I got lots of positive feedback on how great my dress was for the event. Yes, this is something I wore in early college days (and still fit into!)
