After the conference I had a little more time to explore Denver before my plane back.
- The temple was of course beautiful.
- The US Mint was interesting, but not very busy. (They say the economic recession has really hit them hard.)
- I had to visit the Molly Brown house. Pretty interesting. (Anyone remember the musical the Unsinkable Molly Brown?)
- Denver is known as the Mile High City. The capitol steps are marked in a few places that are at or close to one mile high! At the capitol, I got to climb to the dome, which had a great view.
- I have to say that the crochet flowers on the construction fences were quite unique.
