This has been such a beautiful weekend. Sunday I found myself at the Jones Point Lighthouse. It is located in Alexandria just under the Woodrow Wilson bridge. I have been there several times before, but this time I ventured farther out onto the rocks on the shore, and got a view of the lighthouse from the water.
Also at the Jones Point Lighthouse is a marker of the 4th corner of Washington DC. Southwest of the Potomac has now been given back to Virginia, but originally Washington DC was designated as a square. Across the river from the Jones Point Ligthouse is the National Harbor, which is a new development, I have yet to explore.
