National Crime Victims' Rights Week: April 13 - 19, 2008

Fairfax County is hosting a Candlelight Vigil on Sunday, April 13, 2008 at 3:00pm in the Atrium of the Fairfax County Government Center. (12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, Va).
The theme this year is "Justice for Victims, Justice for All" which will be carried out throughout the program. Joe Samaha, the father of one of the homicide victims from Virginia Tech will be the guest speaker, along with Larry Roberts who is the chief Counselor to Governor Kaine. Larry Roberts was instrumental in all of the panel work and is an amazing Attorney and Victim Advocate. We also plan to recognize the contributions of legislators responsible for victim-centered legislation. We will be awarding our Champion Awards. This year as in years gone by....the Woodson Choir will lend their strong young voices to the occasion. Gail Pennybacker from ABC local news will moderate.
